Dear Fifth Edition,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, it\u2019s a little awkward to write this. But how do I say this? We need to start seeing other people. I think we both saw this coming; the writing has been on the wall for almost a year now. We used to be just so in love. The way I used to catch glances of your source books as I walked into my office, the times I would just be lost in thought thinking about multi-classing. You had me, you really did, and it felt good, it felt right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But over time, things just became familiar and boring. Our relationship started feeling generic. Even our fights weren\u2019t interesting anymore; they would go on forever and felt so messy and confusing. It didn\u2019t really matter what we tried to spice things up because everything just ended up feeling the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s when I met Cyberpunk RED. She was gritty and edgy in all the right ways. She wasn\u2019t afraid of a little danger and pushed things to the edge. Everything felt faster, more exciting. But the biggest thing about RED is that she knew who she was. She didn\u2019t try to appeal to everyone because she knew that was a losing battle. I knew what I was getting with RED, and so did everyone else that met her. But it wasn\u2019t just RED that got my attention. I realized there were a lot of other RPGs out there, and that was the real reason we needed to end things. You see, the thing is Fifth Edition, you tried to make me feel like you were the only RPG out there, like anyone else was just a jealous pretender. What I\u2019ve realized is that you\u2019re just scared. But the more you try to hold onto me, the more you drive me away. In a way, I feel sorry for you because you\u2019ve worked so hard to try and be what everyone wants, and you\u2019ve been so successful at it that you\u2019ve lost yourself. I hope you find happiness, Fifth Edition, I really do, but it just won\u2019t be with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
